“Why aren’t women in the history books?” Since 2002, Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation has worked to remedy this egregious omission, through research, websites, short films, and now … a podcast. Welcome to New Angle: Voice, created by Cynthia Phifer Kraucauer, produced by Brandi Howell, with Alexandra Lange as editorial advisor.
New Angle: Voice is supported by the National Endowment for Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Graham Foundation, and MillerKnoll.
The first season, released in 2022, includes five episodes on exceptional women in design, including Julia Morgan, Natalie de Blois, Norma Merrick Sklarek, Helen Liu Fong, and Florence Knoll.
Season two, which will premiere on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2023, includes episodes on Ray Eames, Ada Louise Huxtable, Amaza Lee Meredith, Jean Fletcher and Sarah Harkness of TAC, and Anna Keichline.
